Our theme for this week is "TAKE ME HOME" so i will be singing "Spirit Lead Me" by Hillsong United.
This song happens to be one of my favorite contemporary worship songs, and i love the fact that it was the first song that popped up in my head after a lot thinking about what to sing when I saw the theme for this week.
I must confess, it took me a while to find my way around the theme (Take me home), which home? I asked myself 😅 after so much pondering, this song came to my mind. And that was when i got an understanding of the theme.
A lot of us have been lost for so long, we get carried away by worldly things, forgetting that we'll all have to go back home someday, back to our creator, back to where we came from. Have you ever wondered where people go after death? Corinthians 15:21-22 says, For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.
There is life after death, and we are all going there someday, a place called HOME, the Bible says, when it is time, Christ will come back and take us home. John 14:1-4 says, "Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going."
Meanwhile, so many people have derailed and are lost in this world due to greed, lust, lies, deceit, waywardness, and so many crimes. They've forgotten their creator, who they are, where they come from, and where they are going.
But the book of 2 Chronicles 7:14 says, "If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land"
Jesus said in the book of John 14:6, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"
Call on Jesus today, you with weary heart, call on Him to show you the way and lead your path. Trust in Him, have faith and be strong in Him. We're all sinners, call on to Christ, and seek forgiveness, come back to God, so you'll be amongst the people that will be taken to a home of love, joy and peace.
