Accelerated Pace This Week

It's always a mystery to me how life can be hot or cold. Busy or boring. Things seem to swing from one extreme to the next. This week has kept me moving. I've managed to get some important things on the move, which usually means some other things take a back seat.

New Job

Next week, I might have a new job that allows me to work from home. It's not a big change. I've been somewhat working from home for the last couple of years doing gigs. But this is a job job in which I need to work so many hours a week. It's not a 100% thing until I clock in next week. I had to buy a Windows 11 computer for the job. Tomorrow, I will perform a test to check if it meets the minimum specs. And hopefully they don't back out before the training starts.

Car Repairs

I got some collision repair started on my car. We're down to one car in our household at the moment. We can manage, more or less, with one car. I have a Honda scooter that I use to putter around town for errands. Fortunately, it's no longer 1000F in Texas. I can tolerate 90 degree weather rather well.

Family Errands

As the stay-at-home person, it falls on me to do certain things, like make supper and wash dishes. I don't know who made that rule. I'm going to talk to management. Of course, there are Dad things, like after school pickups and grocery runs.

Side Gigs

I have some other things I do for money. We're in a holding pattern on that. Big job. But we're waiting on some things. With the new job, I don't know how I'll be able to juggle both.

Python Learning

It has been a couple of days since my last lesson. I need to get back to that. I'll carve out some time tomorrow evening.

Financials

The beginning of the month always comes with bills to pay. I need to make sure to square those away to avoid late payments.

Catching Up On To Dos

I recently started using Asana to track stuff I need to do. It's a bit annoying that Asana does a fair job of task tracking and scheduling. Like everybody, I have way more to do than I have time to do it. But at least I'm aware of what needs doing and can prioritize.

I'm not complaining. I'm just surprised that everything got bunched up this week. I have one more day, Friday, to go. I'm expecting Friday to be exciting too.
