Hello bees! It’s been a while since I posted my last blog, well how are you? Let me tell you mine, it’s been a busy day and weeks so I couldn’t update more. A bit stressed but coping up especially when you are a working student, you really need to juggle some time for your work and school and also with my daughter. I want to share with you how a life as an esl teacher is harder than it looks, they say it’s easy and stress free since I can work at home but no it’s not easy at all.

As an ESL teacher, you should have the patience and strength to have a great smile on camera despite the hard headed kids that you encounter. Every session is a bit stressed since they gave me kids with mental illness like autism, my patience is really tested but at least I am enjoying since they really love me and they actually gave me the best feeling every teacher can have. Their sweet and caring attitudes despite sometimes they don’t listen to me in class, it’s very ok for me to have these kids at all times. I also encounter adult classes, I also gave young adults and adults the classes that they want. Both are easy to manage since it’s basic english and they both love learning, it’s a bit stressful but fun at the same time.

IMG_7901.jpeg One of the most hardest thing when working on ESL are the tantrums of kids, the crying and the running are really to hard to manage since it is virtual. You need to deal with those kind of problems in order to have more students and have more salaries, you need to cope up on that even if it’s hard and not so good. That is the duty of every teachers, you need to deal even on the hardest part of your students and not only the happy times but the hard times with them. One of also the hardest part on an ESL is the students parents whose stubborn when dealing with your students problems, some of them don’t take any responsibility when it comes to giving their kids any discipline on class, they don’t accompany nor take time to guide them and sometimes they’ll take the blame on you.

IMG_7907.jpeg ESL is great and very fun, but if I will be the one to tell? It is really hard when it comes to dealing with kids virtually. It is a very tough job like all other jobs you encounter, despite the fun interaction with kids there is also a dark side on every job. Some of the people really underestimate the ESL work but as if you dig deeper it is harder than it seems.
