Aurora Mountain Resort: A holiday escape

Hello everyone! Its @shanshine and in this blog I'm gonna share with you my experience in Aurora Mountain Resort! I hope you find this interesting. This serene escape is located in Corte, Carmen, North Cebu.  They are open Monday to Sunday and Holidays from 8 AM to 5 PM. Today was a holiday, it's Araw ng Kagitingan in the Philippines so we don't have class and it was so hot staying home so my boyfriend decided to go swimming. I agreed and prepared for our travel going to the destination where he suggested. We've been to the Durano Eco Farm before so we already know the way and it was not difficult to locate since it's near the road. It was 10 am when we left our place and along the way we had some stops because we bought our own food and after sometime we arrived there at exactly 12 pm. We traveled by motorcycle but if ever you'd want to visit and you don't have a service there is habal-habal available or you can book for their coaster.   When we got to the resort, we were greeted by a staff member and assisted us in the parking lot The place has a parking area so it's good for those who have 4 or 2 wheeled vehicles.  After parking, we head to the front desk, my boyfriend wanted to take a peek at the pool, but was told not to go near or proceed to the pool area because he needed to pay for the entrance first. So, we paid the entrance which was 70 per person.    It's only me and my boyfriend so we did not avail table or cottages instead we chose 3 chairs since we don't have a lot of things. After paying they put this wrist band on us in order to go inside the pool area.  We thought that the place would be bigger like the photos in their social media but it's okay because when we saw the water it was so clear and clean, perfect for swimming. The place is really beautiful it's clean, the air is so fresh although it's very hot but the air is cold, and it's so peaceful, making it perfect for family or friend outings, birthdays, and other celebrations. Once we were told where our place the first thing we did was to eat lunch and after that I took pictures and we toured the whole area before we went swimming. I did roam around to see if there is a good view of a mountain or anything but there is not much of a nature view rather just the resort itself.  While roaming in the resort I saw this little cabin which I think is used by the staff because it's only 1 cabin like this at the resort. It would be nice if they added more so guests could have options for overnight stays.  After coming here to the very top I went down to check how clear and cold the water was in their pool. And I was amazed at the coldness from the water and how it's so clear. After taking pictures, we changed to our swimming attire and headed to the shower because you must take a shower before swimming. The pool was like 5 to 7 feet deep I like it but I can't stand HAHAHA I just floated all the time.  My boyfriend on the other hand really wants to dive but couldn't because there is a signage. The water in the pool is so nice and refreshing it's not like the others where you can feel the chlorine in your skin and eyes also making your hair dry.  They also have a children’s pool and it's really nice! Their children's pool has little waterfalls and I stayed there too since the adult pool was out of my reach and needed to float most of the time. DO THEY HAVE WIFI? Yes they do! But not free wifi, it's the Piso Wifi.  DO THEY SELL FOODS AND BEVERAGE? Yes they do! They have this small eatery area where you can order from their menu.   RESORT POLICY ENTRANCE No entry no Entrance When you enter the swimming area you must pay for the pool use. Can avail chairs. CORKAGE • Food – No corkage Whole Lechon 700 pesos • Drinks in a bottle or 500 ml below- 20 pesos One case- 200 pesos 500 ml- 50 pesos COTTAGES They have a lot of cottages, so you can choose where you want to sit and put your things. For Day Use COTTAGES AVAILABLE: 🏠 BIG: 1,500 (12 - 16 pax) 🏠 SMALL: 1,000 (10-12 pax) 🏠TABLE W/ UMBRELLA & CHAIRS: 600 (Maximum 6 pax) 🏠 TABLE W/ UMBRELLA & BENCH: 400 (Maximum 4 pax) For Overnight Stay ROOMS AVAILABLE: 🏠Family Room : 3,500 (4 pax) 🏠Deluxe Room: 2,700 (2 pax) 🏠Standard Room: 2,500 (2 pax) 📌Fully air-conditioned. 📌Private bathroom with shower heater 📌Has its own balconies with the view of the resort. 📌Free amenity kits. 📌Free breakfast. GRILLING AREA They have 2 grilling areas, one near the shower and the other near the pool side. It's easy to access especially where your table is near.   PARTY AREA They have a stage where you can make a reception for an event. It's huge in person and can accommodate a large number of people.  COMFORT ROOMS They have 2 restrooms which are really clean and well-maintained and they also have showers here.   SHOWER AREA This is their shower area, and they are required to shower first before going into the pool.  SHOWER ETIQUETTE Be careful when using the shower and faucet. Do not play with the shower, use it only for bathing. Turn off the faucet when not in use. Do not leave soap, trash, or napkins in the drainage. Those caught damaging the faucet or shower will be fined. POOL RULES • Proper swim attire required. • Take a shower before entering the pool. • Do not bring glassware or alcoholic beverages in the pool area. • Food or drinks are not allowed in the pool area. • Pets are not allowed in the pool area. • No running or pushing on the pool deck. • No diving . • Children must be supervised by an adult. REMINDER!!! All guests are obliged to bring all garbage for all food and drinks not subjected to corkage. Keep your wrist band on at all times as removing it will mean you'll have to pay the entrance fee once more. By 3:30 PM, we decided to go home because we felt sleepy. The resort is very convenient and good for company parties, birthday parties and any other gathering with many people because they also have Coaster Bus with Karaoke, rates depend where the pickup point is and it has a capacity range of 36 pax.
