Life is not all about trials but they are certainly a big part of our character development.
Trials test us and show us what we're really made of.
Sometimes we're made to go through trials because we need to become stronger in some ways, whether that be mentally, emotionally, physically, spiritually or otherwise.
God begins the supernatural work of transforming you, His child, into the image of His Son, Jesus Christ, Who was and is perfect. (See Romans 8:29.) As you mature in your faith, God uses the tests and trials you face to develop your character and ministry.
How we respond to the trials in our lives determines the type of person we become and if we're conscious enough, we can actually discern what we are being tested on in real time.
Trials show us who we really are when we're put under pressure and this leads to a better knowledge of self.
I believe that at the end of our lives, we will be shown all the things we've done, be it for good or bad.
And I also believe we all know that at the end of our lives, we will be judged according to the will of God and the plan that he had for our lives. Did we become who we were meant to be? He created us with a purpose and a mission in this world.
Some people say that at the time of our death, we see our whole lives flash before our eyes and we see where we fell short and where we hit the mark.
One interpretation of why we go through trials is that God wants us to do the right thing and the only way we learn and grow is through hardships and pain. You know this very expression "no pain, no gain"?
Life works like that, nothing comes for free, we must sacrifice something in the present in order to move onto to another level in the future.
We were born with free will and we can choose whichever way we like but I believe that God already had a perfect plan for our lives and where we are today is a result of either the good or bad choices that we made.
In my opinion, trials are supposed to challenge our present self, to wake us up and get us to start living the life that we were supposed to live.
