Sneak peek at potential future food post?
I had a busy weekend being a pickleball referee and participating in a tournament which I will share my experience in a later post.
Today, I want to cover this J-pop girl group that I found recently called HANA. I think they have some interesting songs and they give that K-pop vibe but Japanese style. Is this group popular in Japan @go-kyo?
Rose - HANA
Rose is their debut song and most popular song in terms of views on YouTube. I always find it cool how these boy and girl groups always find a way to debut a song related to their group name. Hana in Japanese means flower and rose is a type of flower. In this song, the girl is using a rose to describe the type of person she is. She's beautiful but comes with thorns so in this instance, she's probably saying that she's not an easy girl to pursue. Roses are also known as a symbol of love and passion so I believe the song is more towards love and romance.
Burning Flower - HANA
This is another song linked to their group name. I'm not a big fan of this song in particular but I think the rap in this song is nice. Flower is referring to their group name and the burning is referring to how "hot" they are. The song is about being the best which is described as being the hottest burning flower.
Blue Jeans - HANA
I found this song to be super catchy. It's the first song I listened from them before looking up their other songs. The song is about a girl that isn't one of those pretty girls. They don't really do a lot of makeup or dress up hence the blue jeans. They go for a more simple and practical look. Apparently, a guy approached her and told her she looked good despite being in just blue jeans with messy hair and smeared makeup; she wants to give him a chance.
