Hello everyone!
Hope all are safe and well! βΊοΈβ€οΈπ
Cebu has once again been shaken by a strong earthquake, and my heart goes out to those affected. Seeing the damages brings back memories of the 2013 quake I experienced, reminding me how fragile life can be. Still, I hold on to faith, hope, and prayers for healing, recovery, and strength for every family, especially those who lost loved ones. ππ
Cebu is now under a state of calamity after the recent earthquake, with Bogo City being the epicenter. When I first heard the news, I immediately checked on my family and friends in both Leyte and Cebu. Praise God, they are all safe! That was such a relief for me. β€οΈπ
Today as I checked social media and reading reports from SunStar and other local news, my heart felt so heavy. Seeing the extent of the damage broke me inside. ππ
So many buildings and churches collapsed. Roads, bridges, houses, and other infrastructure were severely damaged. Even basic utilities like electricity and water been affected. Worst of all, lives were lost, and families are grieving. π
Here are some of the heartbreaking images that show the impact of the quake,
Looking at these photos, I can only pray that Cebu and all affected areas will recover soon. To those who lost loved ones, may the Lord grant them strength, comfort, and peace. π May the souls of the departed rest in Godβs eternal embrace, and may their families left behind be surrounded with love, support, and courage to move forward. π
This disaster also brought back memories of the 2013 earthquake. I was in Cebu at that time, staying at a boarding house with my best friend. We were on the second floor, surrounded by high-rise buildings in IT Park. When the quake struck, we didnβt know what to do. In panic, we hid under the bed, then rushed downstairs as aftershocks followed. People from the tall buildings flooded the IT Park grounds, everyone in fear and confusion. That day, I remember clearly how all we could hold on to was prayer. And thankfully, God kept us safe. π
These moments remind me how fragile life is. We never know what tomorrow brings. Thatβs why I always say to be grateful for the little and simple things. Gratitude makes the heart strong, even in the midst of trials. ππ
But one thing I know about Cebu and the Filipino spirit, we are resilient people. We rise from the rubble, rebuild what is broken, and strengthen each other through community and faith. This is what gives me hope that Cebu will once again stand firm and brighter than before. π
Let us continue to pray for healing, for the recovery of Cebu province, and for strength and peace to everyone affected. πππ
Have a Blessed Wednesday everyone! ππππππ
