Hello everyone!
Hope all are safe and well! ☺️❤️🙏

My third day in Taytay, Rizal was another heartwarming day filled with love and delicious home-cooked food. This time, my uncle cooked one of my favorites, the mung beans with pork and ampalaya leaves, plus fried fish on the side. Such a simple meal, yet it made my whole day! ☺️❤️
It’s been quite a long time since I last had mung beans, so tasting it again especially when cooked with love by my uncle felt extra special. I missed this kind of homey dish, the kind that warms your heart and reminds you of quiet afternoons with family gathered around the table. ❤️

Just looking at the photos makes me hungry again! 🤭 The mung beans were perfectly cooked, it's creamy and flavorful with bits of tender pork and the distinct, slightly bitter taste of ampalaya leaves balancing everything out.
The aroma filled the open kitchen while my uncle was cooking that comforting smell of garlic, onions, and simmering mung beans. There’s something so calming about watching food being cooked with patience and care.

Of course, the fried fish completed the meal! Best paired with warm rice and a drizzle of calamansi. 😋

It's a simple moments at home that reflect peace and contentment. Sometimes, happiness truly lies in the simplest routines like eating together, chatting about random things, and laughing over small stories. ❤️
I can truly say I won’t get hungry while staying here in Taytay, not just because of the food, but because of the love and care that come with every meal. My heart and tummy are always full. 🤭
As I reflect on this day, I’m reminded again to be grateful for life’s simple joys such as home-cooked meals, warm company, and family who make you feel cared for even in the smallest ways. ❤️
Have a Blessed Monday everyone! 😀😀😀💖💖💖
Thank You Lord for the blessings and love!
