Hello everyone!

My hometown Leyte is one of the places affected by Typhoon Tino. According to the weather forecast, it was expected to make landfall in Leyte, so since yesterday I’ve been constantly monitoring the updates at home. Sadly, it’s already brownout in our place, which makes the situation even harder.
Early in the morning, my younger brothers climbed up on the roof to secure our house. They tied the galvanized sheets tightly to make sure it won’t be blown away by the strong wind. I’m so thankful that my brothers are there at home, taking care of everything. They also secured our belongings inside the house since there was already a warning about possible storm surge. We live near the sea, just behind our house, so we always have to be extra careful when there’s a typhoon coming.
These photos show how the weather looked before the heavy rain started. The dark clouds were already forming, and you can feel the strong wind coming. It’s always scary when you know a storm is near especially when you live close to the sea.
By afternoon, the rain started to get heavier.
You can see from the photos how gloomy the day turned out. The sky was covered with gray clouds, and the wind was blowing hard. The rain never stopped for hours.
My elder sister, together with her husband, decided to fetch my family at home so they could evacuate to their house, it’s located farther from the sea and much safer. My mother, my nieces, nephew, and sister-in-law all went with them for safety. I’m really thankful that they were able to transfer before the weather got worse. They even had dinner together after settling down. ❤️
Meanwhile, my father and younger brothers stayed behind at home to keep watch. I keep praying for their safety, as well as for all the people affected by the typhoon all over the Philippines. 🙏🙏🙏
