Me alegra compartir otra vez con ustedes, he estado ausente, ya que estuve bastante enferma en las últimas semanas y estuve de reposo, tampoco podía asistir a clases, así que ahora que me siento mejor y ya estoy mejorando, estoy tratando de ponerme al día con todo. Lo primero que hice al entrar a mi blog de Hive fue revisar la campanita y así me enteré de que tenía una invitación para participar en esta iniciativa. Muchas gracias por tomarme en cuenta, fue un lindo gesto.

Cómo todos sabemos el mes de octubre se conmemora el mes rosa contra el cáncer de mama y comenzó a celebrarse aproximadamente en el año 1990, como dato curioso según en artículos que he leído por Google, en esta página web, las cintas que representan la lucha contra el cáncer de mama primeramente iban a ser del color melocotón y no la emblemática cinta rosa, está cintas de color melocotón fueron creadas por Charlotte Haley para honrar a su mamá, hermana y abuela quienes lucharon contra el cáncer de mama, me resulto muy interesante conocer esto. ¿Ya lo sabías?

Siguiendo la iniciativa, hice un dibujo con la representación del mes rosa, haciendo una mujer rodeada de pétalos caídos con unas flores, rosas y dos ramas con flores de color rosado, y también no podía faltar su cinta.

Para la frase dibujé un banderín con la frase: "TÓCATE, NO DEJES QUE EL HORROR CREZCA EN SILENCIO".

Me sentí muy bien realizando este dibujo, porque quiero que transmita el mensaje y llegue a muchas mujeres, por eso más allá de mi arte quiero destacar la frase que fue pensada con la ayuda de mi madre, para concientizar y hacer de alguna manera que todas entendamos lo importante que es examinarnos constantemente sin importar la edad y, si sentimos alguna irregularidad, ir a un ginecólogo para hacernos los exámenes correspondientes, recuerda que un examen puede salvar una vida.

No tengo mucha experiencia, para hacerlo con palabras, así que estoy feliz de que la comunidad creará este espacio para poner nuestro granito de arena en esta campaña de concientización, haciendo algo que me gusta mucho, que es dibujar y colorear.

I couldn't attend classes either, so now that I'm feeling better and getting back on my feet, I'm trying to catch up on everything. The first thing I did when I logged into my Hive blog was to check my notifications, and that's how I found out I had an invitation to participate in this initiative. As we all know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which began in approximately 1990. According to articles I've read on Google, on this website, the ribbons representing the fight against breast cancer were originally going to be peach-colored rather than the iconic pink ribbon. These peach-colored ribbons were created by Charlotte Haley to honor her mother, sister, and grandmother who battled breast cancer. I found this very interesting. Did you already know this?

Following the initiative, I made a drawing representing Pink Month, depicting a woman surrounded by fallen petals with flowers, roses, and two branches with pink flowers, and of course, her ribbon.

For the phrase, I drew a banner with the words: “CHECK YOURSELF, DON'T LET THE HORROR GROW IN SILENCE.”

I felt really good doing this drawing because I want it to convey the message and reach many women. That's why, beyond my art, I want to highlight the phrase that was conceived with the help of my mother, to raise awareness and somehow make us all understand how important it is to examine ourselves constantly, regardless of age, and if we feel any irregularities, to go to a gynecologist to have the appropriate tests done. Remember that an exam can save a life.

I don't have much experience putting this into words, so I'm happy that the community will create this space to do our part in this awareness campaign by doing something I really enjoy, which is drawing and coloring.
