Hey Anime Lovers!
There are occasions where an anime leaves you so much at varied thoughts that you are not sure of what to say about it. One of such shows to me is Darling in the Franxx. It is like a traditionally seen mecha, where children battle monsters in large robots. But the further I viewed the organization the more I realized it is something beneath.
It speaks of love and friendship and the necessity to be free. The program caused me to laugh, it caused me to get frustrated and even host exacerbated my feelings. It is not flawless anime, yet it is the genre of tales that will remain in your heart after having gone through it. And so here is what it is about and what I felt when watching it.
Story Summary and My Review
The anime is set in future where the people no longer enjoy a normal life. The majority of the adults remain hidden within safe areas ( Atari ) called Plantations, and the children are designed to perform a single task, to fly robots, the so-called Franxx. They are supposed to battle Krassaurs giants. Such children are known as the parasites and they are brought up knowing less about the world or even their own being. They are just to fight.
Hiro, a boy who has once been talented but lost his talent is the main character. He is no longer able to connect with a partner thus he feels useless. Then he encounters Zero Two a horny strange girl. She is called a deadly partner that has a habit of killing her teammates. But Hiro is strongly attached to her immediately. She refers to him she darling and both begin to fight together. At this moment the tale becomes something far greater than a battle.
The initial part of the anime is terrific. It demonstrates the way in which Hiro and Zero Two develop their relationships, the way they are trusted, and their love flourishes despite the fact that the world labels them as more or less frightened. Zero Two is energetic and wild, and can easily frighten people although deep within her, she simply needs to feel human and loved. It is Hiro who takes her as she is. I was moved by their relationship as it was powerful and sincere. Their sight on the screen allowed me to think that love can make a person stronger even during the worst moments.
The other kids feature their stories also. Ichigo has a problem with her affection to Hiro. Goro backs her but conceals his sufferings. Mitsuru and Kokoro gain knowledge of love and their way to this knowledge was the most touching moment in my opinion was their life, when Kokoro dreamed of the family he would have. These side stories add more dimensions to the anime, where you see that all children desire more than orders. It is that they want freedom, they want love and want to lead their lives to the fullest.
The fighting scenes are strong and energetic. And yet what is special is that they are based on trust between the two pilots. The Franxx only works in case both the partners make an emotional touch. When they cannot trust they lose trust, the machine dies. The concept empatheticizes the fights. It is not all about robots going at monsters. It concerns the emotions of people to determine who wins and who loses.
Now is the part that is largely discussed. The second half of the anime changes direction. The plot is then revealed at once as a battle with aliens known as the VIRM, and it seems entirely unrelated. Personally, this section was puzzling and depressing. The heavy emotional charge of the first half went askew. Rather than being an ongoing poignant tale of human emotions and survival, it became a space war. I believe there is a way the anime would have been far superior namely remain concentrated on the relationships and the fight towards freedom.
Not withstanding these issues, I nonetheless enjoyed the trip of Hiro and Zero Two. They end off happily and hopelessly. It demonstrates the extent to which love has some boundaries even to the point of sacrifice. I am not going to ruin it but those last moments gave me a heavy heart and a weird hope too.
Darling in the Franxx is not an flawless anime, yet it is memorable. It is a combination of romance, action and drama that causes you to reflect upon life and love. There are those sections that you will get frustrated with and those that will remain long in your memory.
Recommendation?
And are you to watch Darling in the Franxx? Yes I would say so, but prepare yourself to have ambivalent feelings. You will like it in case you enjoy action as well as emotions in your anime. In case you are a fan of tales of intimate relationships, thrilling romance in particular, then the connection between Hiro and Zero Two will draw you. But when you would like to have a story remain the same and similar, the twist in the second part may irritate you.
Nevertheless, I believe this is a good anime that should be watched. The art is gorgeous, the music is apt, the characters are alive. Despite its imperfect aspects it is one story that is going to stir you to something, and that is the point. Personally, Darling in the Franxx was not a story about dilemma with monsters or space aliens. It was human interactive and the question of being loved. That is the reason I am recommending it to those who are interested in an anime combination of action and brutality of emotion.

Story Summary and My Review
El anime está ambientado en un futuro donde la gente ya no disfruta de una vida normal. No obstante, creo que este es un buen anime que debería ser visto. El arte es hermoso, la música es adecuada, los personajes están vivos. A pesar de sus aspectos imperfectos, es una historia que te va a mover a algo, y ese es el punto. Personalmente, Darling in the Franxx no fue una historia sobre un dilema con monstruos o extraterrestres. Era interactivo humano y la cuestión de ser amado.
