Forest Folk Worldbuilding Challenge – Prompt 3: The Forest Folk Market

Hi there lovely and creative people of Hive World, Hope you all are fine and having a fantastic day

I am here with my recent drawing 😅 for the #drawawday community contest 😍😍. I like the theme and its not easy for me as I am not professional at all but I thought to give it try.

Here you can see the final view of my drawing. Pencil work done manually, coloring at Photoshop, combining all characters, objects at Photoshop. So its not totally digital and not totally manual HAHAH it is mixed piece

I think of forest (things/objects) and all I go with different woods and berries. I also include Honey on it and than Nuts. I draw two stalls. One having woods and other having berries and honey. A man also sit on his sheet with his nuts and talking to buyer/visitor. One stall man is free while the other one also busy with barter trade. I also draw a carts with woods to show the market is busy here HAHAH.

Drawing Tools and Software I used :

For hand drawing I used pencil and black pointer. For coloring and positioning the objects, I used Adobe Photoshop 2020

Story and Steps of working :

The story begins from when I saw the contest post. There wasn't any entry but I like the them and I think to try for it.

I thought to go with pencil drawing but it was night and I can't start my job that time so I opened Adobe Illustrator and draw a rough sketch

I have barter scene in my mind so I try to draw a wood card to show the trade. And also try to show people talking for good exchanges. (I tried) When I start my work. I also add bicycle-cart on the road to show it is a busy market 😁😁

I start my work in morning. As I already drew a rough sketch. I draw those characters and all objects on paper using my pencil. I also draw bicycle cart, berries, honey bottles, wood planks, etc. And at the end I draw ground and trees etc. for background

I didn't color my drawings on paper. I put these images to photoshop. Make separate layers for each and every character/objects. Remove the background and than color few of those images.

And than I put those characters and objects to one board. Putting those characters, objects to their fine positions. Reduce/increase the size of objects (if needed)

That's all what I did to finish this drawing. Hope you enjoyed!
