Ship coin

Afternoon everyone ….

A while back I forget who posted this coin, but I’ve been on the look out for it ever since. Limited mintage coins from overseas are typically difficult to obtain on this side of the pond. Especially if they are or were popular.

I have a few bullion dealers that I’ve used in the past that are in Europe, so that’s where I started. None of them had them, so I inquired with one if he knew anywhere to get one. While he did connect me with someone that had the coin. They wanted more than I really wanted to pay at $90 and the shipping cost was ridiculous.

So I laid in the weeds….

There is a copper-nickel version of this coin as well which is much easier to obtain. But that will not ever be something I’d buy.

A little while ago this one popped up on EBay. The price was a little more than I wanted to pay. I contacted the seller and opened up a negotiation with him on it. After a little back and forth, we agreed on a price.

Well today my ship came in….🤣😂
