Asahi established itself in the US and began producing some of the best and most popular silver on the market today after acquiring Johnson Matthey refining in the early 2000s.

2024 Asahi Silver Dragon Bar

This is part of 2024 Lunar Calendar Series, a gorgeous Year of the Dragon Silver Bar. When I first acquired it at the quarter of 2023, it was inexpensive.

I almost forgot to show you this one. If it were not for @gwajnberg who mentioned that it was 2024 Asahi Lunar Dragon Round, which I highlighted in September 2023, that attracted him to the mint, I would have never featured this bar!

Highlights of the bar and round:
- Contains one (1) troy ounce of .999 fine silver.
- Minted by Asahi Refining in the United States.
- Obverse: Asahi Refining branding and text noting the weight, purity and “LUNAR CALENDAR SERIES”.
- Reverse: Dragon coiled around a Cypress Tree, symbolizing growth and prosperity.
- These rounds are IRA approved.
