“Liz, does our neighbor “Will” know something we don’t about the weather Lol?”😇
If Silvertop starts to see pairs of animals starting to line up at our neighbors door, that’s when I’m going to start to worry!🤣
A year ago Will was telling me that he had several sailboat in different states or restoration in dry dock in town.
Will was concerned that the owner of the storage facility, was going to require him to move his boats.😮
Will has “Solo” sailed across the Atlantic Ocean!
Very impressive!👍😊
As I started up our road on today’s hike, I was surprised to see the Bow of this sailboat poking out from a grove of Douglas Fir trees!🙄
Now nothing surprises Silvertop on this old logging road Lol☺️
I was headed up to the timber clear cut, to see how much further the loggers had cleared……………..
Do you see those very large piles of branches, and debris, in the background of the photos?
As the Weather gets cooler, and wetter, they will light these piles on fire………..
No exactly environmentally friendly……Huh!🤔
Unfortunately, this is the standard practice for clear cut loggers………
About that time another neighbor pulled along Silvertop with his pickup truck.
“Silvertop, they really put the hurt on this Mountainside didn’t they!”😳
“Unfortunately……. that they did my friend!”😮
The good, and the not so good, of life in the Pacific Northwest!🙄
Silvertop is very glad most of what we hike is “Protected Forest”!😇
