Hello hivers, an happy Tuesday to you all! Another rainy day here and I can smell the Autumn in the air. The leaves on the trees around are falling down and in my backyard, thanks the rain, there are a lot of snails.
This morning, like I use to do every day, I woke up soon to work with my brushes and colors during the first, quiet hours of the day. A cup of hot coffee, some cookies, some minutes spent playing with my furry friends after I gave them their food and I was ready to start my work. I have to finish an oil on canvas (I'll show it when it will be finished, promise), but in a pause from that artwork I wanted to understand how an idea I had in my mind could work and so I painted the following one:
I painted this freaky bird on a cardboard surface I made a couple of years ago. At that time I made some small scraps of cardboard boxes framed with other scraps of cardboard and glued to make them stronger.
To paint the bird I used my acrylic colors and, like I use to do, I took some pics while I was painted it so you can see the process too:
It was fun and fast to paint it and, to be honest, the final result is not so bad. ^_^ I hope you like it! See ya soon and stay safe, Silvia
