Hello hivers, an happy Tuesday to you all! It's a warm sunny day here, the Sun is shining on the sky and I can breath the fresh air all around while I'm cleaning a little my backyard and my furry friends Nanny and Bimba are playing with the fallen leaves. 😊
Yesterday we turned on the oven to cook the clay sculptures we (and the students of my hubby) made during the past 2 weeks. It needed around 20 hours to cook them at very high temperature, but finally they are ready and soon I'll decor them with my brushes. In the meantime I had an idea on my mind: to use a scraps from an old destroyed book cover to create and paint a freaky bird. Sure, I made it and, in the following pic you can see the final result:
At first I cut the book cover in form of a bird thinking about something in my own style. I gave it some strokes of white gesso to make the surface more comfortable to paint and, when it was dried, I used my oil colors to paint the bird. Like I use to do for you, I took some pics while I was painting this figure so you can see the process too:
I like the final result and I think this kind of small paintings in form of birds could be a nice decor on a wall, so I'll create some other ones.
I hope you like it! See ya soon and stay safe, Silvia
