We are starting November 2025, and today I am back to participate in the #BeerSaturday for [week 435]( https://peakd.com/hive-187719/@detlev/beersaturday-435). This is week 435 of #BeerSaturday and I'd like to invite @mercmarg to write a post in any language (English would be great, or bilingual), about beer, with at least 3 images (her own).

Today I want to share some photos from a few weeks ago, when I tried another beer I had in my fridge. This time it was a brand of beer that's better known for also making sangria. It's called MAL PORTADA, a small beer that I was very curious about, since although I haven't tried their sangria, I had certain expectations.
> Hoy quiero compartir unas fotos de semanas atrás, cuando probé otra de las cervezas que tenía en mi nevera. Esta vez fue el turno de una marca de cerveza, que es más conocida porque también fabrica sangría. Se trata de MAL PORTADA, una pequeña cerveza, por la cual sentí mucha curiosidad, ya que aunque no he probado la sangria que fabrica, tenía ciertas expectativas al respecto.
THE BEER / LA CERVEZA
I bought this little can for a bargain price, only $0.95. The 250ml can is shiny silver with small white lettering and a lip design that's really unappealing and makes it extremely difficult to read the information it provides.
> Esta pequeña lata la compré a un precio barato, sólo 0.95 $. La lata de 250 ml de capacidad, es de un color plateado, brillante, con letras blancas pequeñas, y un diseño de labios, que realmente resulta poco llamativo, y que dificulta muchísimo leer con facilidad la información que provee.
The alcohol content of this MAL PORTADA is supposedly 4.5%. The can also indicates that it is a Pilsner-style beer. The other manufacturing details, ingredients, etc., are practically illegible.
> El grado alcohólico de esta MAL PORTADA es de supuestamente 4.5. La lata también indica que es una cerveza tipo Pilsen. Los otros datos de fabricación, ingredientes, etc. son prácticamente ilegibles.
Upon opening the can, I detected no smell whatsoever, which is quite unusual, as beers typically have their own distinctive aroma. When I poured it, I noticed the liquid was extremely clear, and while it produced a sufficient head, indicating it was in good condition, its pale color puzzled me.
> Al abrir la lata, no percibo olor alguno, lo cual es bien raro, porque las cervezas siempre tienen su aroma particular. Al servirla veo que el líquido es extremadamente claro, y si bien hace espuma suficiente, lo que me indica que está en buen estado, me extraña su pálido color.
I'm not going to go into any more detail about this beer because, quite frankly, IT DISAPPOINTED ME. And yes, it was a BITTER DISAPPOINTMENT. I thought that perhaps because it was on the market for another product (the sangria of the same name), the beer might be good. I really don't know what happened to Cervecera Regional, the brewery that makes this brand, but it's truly a terrible beer—almost colorless, almost tasteless, and almost smellless. It's almost like drinking water, although I think sparkling water is tastier.
> No voy a extenderme más en describir esta cerveza, porque con toda sinceridad ME DECEPCIONÓ. Y sí, fue una AMARGA DECEPCIÓN, pensé que quizás por estar en el mercado por otro producto (la sangría del mismo nombre), la cerveza podría ser buena. Realmente no sé qué le pasó aquí a la Cervecera Regional, que es la casa fabricante de esta marca, pero realmente es una pésima cerveza, casi sin color, casi sin sabor y casi sin olor, es casi como si estuviese bebiendo agua, aunque creo que el agua con gas es más sabrosa.
