That is a thoughtful revelation. So, there are things about life that are more important than birthdays. In my country, I have witnessed a lot of birthday celebrations. These all are not that significant because the day of death is more important than the day of birth. All of the jamboree that accompanies our birthday parties might not mean well if we refuse to be mindful of how we shall end.
The Bible says that better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof. How we begin is good. But how we end is far more important. It is not that birthdays are not important. Neither is it that celebrating birthdays is useless. It is important that while we are doing the celebration, we should also consider how we shall end. No matter how good and lovely someone was at his birth, if he ends as the worse criminal it is a wasted life. It is all the best as if he was not born at all.
So, the death of Jesus Christ has more importance and significance in His ministry and assignment on earth than His birth. His birth announced Him but His death fulfilled his purpose. There is salvation offered to everyone on earth (as many as will accept) just because Jesus died for our sins.
