Hellooo Food lovers in this Eating Out Community.
In this blog, I want to share how I spent my lunch time with my mom.
That day, my mom and I decided to have lunch together at one of our city's popular modern Japanese restaurants, Ramen Ya!. Located inside a busy shopping center, the restaurant's ambiance immediately caught our attention from the moment we walked in.
The interior is designed with predominantly red, cream, and light wood tones, creating a warm yet cheerful feel. Japanese-style chandeliers and decorative elements such as distinctive ramen bowls neatly arranged on shelves enhance the Japanese feel. The dining area is quite spacious and comfortable, perfect for relaxing while enjoying delicious food. We chose a seat in a corner for a more peaceful meal. It didn't take long for us to order our respective dishes.
Favorites: Original Chicken Rice Bowl & Nasi Ayam Katsu Geprek
I chose the Original Chicken Rice Bowl, which looked tempting in a bowl that read "YA! YA! YA!". It consisted of crispy-on-the-outside, juicy-on-the-inside pieces of fried chicken, served over warm white rice. A sprinkling of fresh spring onions on top provided a distinctive aroma and freshness. The chicken was savory, with its rich spices, perfect for pairing with warm rice and occasional dipping in the chili sauce provided on the table.
Meanwhile, Mom opted for the Nasi Ayam Katsu Geprek (Greek Chicken Katsu Rice), which was equally tempting. Served on a wide plate typical of Ramen Ya!, the chicken katsu was crispy yet tender, topped with a spicy chili sauce that was just the right amount of heat. The chili sauce paired perfectly with the chicken and rice, and the fresh cabbage salad with Japanese mayonnaise complemented the flavor combination. Mom nodded in satisfaction and said, "It's delicious, didn't expect the chili sauce to go so well." We also ordered iced green tea to accompany the meal, which was refreshing and helped neutralize the savory and spicy flavors of our meal.
A Warm Moment Amidst the Busy
This lunch felt special not only because of the delicious food, but also because I was able to spend time with my mom. In the midst of a busy daily routine, moments like these are truly precious. We shared stories while enjoying the food, interspersed with lighthearted jokes and small laughs. It's simple, yet warm and joyful.
This Ramen Ya! restaurant could be the perfect choice for those looking to enjoy Japanese cuisine with a tantalizing local twist. The prices are also quite affordable, with satisfying portions.
This lunch with my mom was truly enjoyable. The cozy atmosphere, friendly service, and, of course, delicious food made this lunch an unforgettable experience.
