October is in full swing with a pumpkin festival.
Loads of smaller decorative pumpkins are all over the ground. Some even look a bit like starfish while others are more gourd-like.
This used to be a grassy lawn but now they put down straw and various islands of pumpkins for $3.00 each.
I wonder how hard it would be to carve a jackolantern out of this lumpy one?
My daughter was having a blast in the new strange pumpkin paradise. She ran up and down these straw paths.
I don't remember ever seeing this strange pink type of pumpkin. Perhaps this one tastes a bit different?
More made it out to the sidewalk as well. I hope they can sell all of these before the squirrels and raccoons emerge fromt the shadows.
They are pretty chill too, you just kind of pay on the honor system here as no one was working the tent. Too many pumpkins to go around with not enough people to carve them.
Some even had silly faces on them.
I showed them to my daughter and she just registered them as stickers rather than faces.
I'll have to ask my wife if she needs a couple giant pumpkins to carve lol. This will be a bit of work to process and turn them into pies.
Then at least one for carving a face into with a candle inside.
Maybe even do an elaborate carving with the dremmel tool. I don't think I have time for that maybe just time to cut one open and dry the seeds for later.
That's all for now, I'm wrist deep in pumpkin shavings now.
