This series is about body perception and self-acceptance. By focusing on a close-up of the body covered in bold color and texture, I wanted to show the tension we often feel toward our own physical form — both the pressure and the power in how we see ourselves.
I worked with tight framing, controlled lighting, and strong color to reduce distractions and focus entirely on the form and feel of the body. The paint was applied directly by hand to add texture and physicality — I wanted the viewer to almost feel the surface. The idea was to keep the image raw and direct, without unnecessary styling or visual effects. It’s an intentional choice to present the body in a way that’s both intimate and distant — like looking at something familiar from a new angle.
