My Introduction to Hive Community - Slowjournals

Hi everyone! its slowjournals here. its not a random username to be honest, but more like a hope. I hope I can share a slower version of life through my writing. Honestly though, I don't really know what I'm going to write on this platform. But as I remember, I like writing since I was a kid. I used to write a story on my notebook, without any expectation or an end goal. I just did it cause I like it. But one thing that I knew at the time, I wanted to be a writer.

I love creating things, so being content creator seems pretty fun and fits me in a way. But lately, I've been hesitant to continue it. Social media phase is really fast imo, which not align with how I want to live.. a slower life.

But I always scared to take a step. I'm scared that I wouldn't be able to get another job because my experience was mostly content creation. But I think it's time to get lost a little bit, to confusing everything, and do things that always scare me.

So I'm glad to start it with this amazing community, I hope I can improve my writing skill and as I said, share a slower version of life. Anyway, one activity that I try to do consistently to make my life feel a little slower is cycling. I like to do it in the morning after I wake up and pray. it feel so refreshing somehow. I also like reading, so I really like going to a public library to borrow some books or do some works. Besides that, an aesthetic library cafe is always catch my attention. I mean, who doesn't like to visit a place like this one? PXL_20250115_093031779.jpg [I take this picture by the way, more about the cafe on my upcoming post hehe]

You know what, I don't know what else to write about my self. I think you will find out later. I want to write for my self first. I find that I could making sense of things by writing them down. Because my hands moves slower than my mind, so turning thoughts into words feels therapeutic in some ways. See you in my next story, hivers!

a special thanks to @macchiata for introducing Hive, not only to me but also to many people who wants to find their voice and community. Thank you so much for your help.
