El bienestar que les hace el contacto con la naturaleza a los niños, es incalculable. Sobre todo en la actualidad de ceros y unos que vamos construyendo en el mundo en el que dejaremos de vernos.
Comienzo a contarles que mi hija es una adolescente en pleno, así que estamos en la etapa del vaivén de emociones, en los gustos bien específicos y en las cosas guardadas, para mí un gran aprendizaje diario; estoy segura que para cada padre en igual periodo es ese mismo sentir de desafío. Además ambas coincidimos es apreciar más la soledad, el silencio y la poco interacción social (este tema es bastante amplio).
No obstante, a veces es necesario aventurarse un poco, ir más allá de la comodidad y hasta desconectarse en compañía de nuestros hijos en medio de milagros de la naturaleza, bien si son niños, peques o adolescentes y hasta adultos, seguro será una linda experiencia, es un tiempo valioso para apreciar el mundo vinculándose con la naturaleza que brilla, más si de paso seleccionamos lugares especiales y únicos.
Justamente, seleccionamos para esta aventura el Jardín Botánico de Maracaibo, en el estado Zulia Venezuela; pues resulta que yo tenía tres años queriendo ver la floración de los Curaries (se trata de un árbol maravilloso que se viste de flores amarillas) y en honor a la primavera, justo las fechas son los días 21, 22 y 23 de marzo. Así que nuestro marzo se vistió de amarillo y yo lo amé.
La aventura con mi hija fue especial, su sonrisa y complicidad al verme feliz valió la pena, a pesar de que nos dejaron muy botadas en el Jardín, pues la familia que había ido con nosotras se regresó al ver que había bastante afluencia de personas queriendo visitar los espacios, nosotras nos quedamos y decidimos completar la aventura tal cual en un juego de misiones.

I begin to tell you that my daughter is a teenager in full, so we are in the stage of the swing of emotions, in the very specific tastes and things saved, for me a great daily learning; I'm sure that for every parent in the same period is the same feeling of challenge. Besides, we both agree that we appreciate solitude, silence and little social interaction (this topic is quite broad).
However, sometimes it is necessary to venture a little, go beyond comfort and even disconnect in the company of our children in the midst of miracles of nature, whether they are children, toddlers or teenagers and even adults, it will surely be a nice experience, it is a valuable time to appreciate the world linking with the nature that shines, especially if we select special and unique places along the way.
Precisely, we selected for this adventure the Botanical Garden of Maracaibo, in the state of Zulia Venezuela; it turns out that I had three years wanting to see the flowering of the Curaries (it is a wonderful tree that is dressed in yellow flowers) and in honor of spring, just the dates are the 21st, 22nd and 23rd of March. So our March was dressed in yellow and I loved it.
The adventure with my daughter was special, her smile and complicity when she saw me happy was worth it, even though we were left very much alone in the garden, because the family that had gone with us went back when they saw that there was a lot of people wanting to visit the spaces, we stayed and decided to complete the adventure just like in a game of missions.
Recorrimos el lugar, tomamos fotos con los fondos amarillos e igual en árboles hermosos que también brindan esa armonía al visitante. Por su puesto que el sol del Zulia es agobiante, los árboles hacen que el efecto invernadero haga el clima un poco denso, si o si, necesitas respirar más lento. Y además las plagas picaron a mi pequeña resultando en lesiones algo fuertes.
Pero, la experiencia de aventura madre e hija valió la pena, ver a mi pequeña haciendo fotografías y recogiendo las flores amarillas para producir un vídeo corto, eso no tiene precio, salió un rato del día a día y olvidamos la rutina. Además estos momentos permiten que conversemos con los peques de cosas simples.
Al final, encontramos a una familia amiga, así que vivimos también la experiencia de acampar un rato compartiendo con amigos. Sé que mi pequeña quería ver un estreno de su grupo favorito ese mismo día, pero verla soltar ese interés y estar allí tomando buenas vibras en la aventura, eso me encantó.
Más espacios, más lugares, más aventuras con nuestros hijos, eso hará mejor el mundo. En este momento de la adolescencia de mi hija doy gracias de sentir que vamos bien, que crecemos y que sé que quizá la siguiente primavera ella tendrá el recuerdo de la aventura con las flores amarillas.

And also the pests bit my little one resulting in some serious injuries.
But, the mother-daughter adventure experience was worth it, to see my little one taking pictures and picking the yellow flowers to produce a short video, that is priceless, it took some time out of the day to day and we forgot the routine. Besides, these moments allow us to talk with the kids about simple things.
In the end, we found a family friend, so we also lived the experience of camping for a while sharing with friends. I know my little one wanted to see a premiere of her favorite band that same day, but to see her let go of that interest and be there taking good vibes from the adventure, I loved that.
More spaces, more places, more adventures with our kids, that will make the world better. At this point in my daughter's adolescence I am thankful to feel that we are doing well, that we are growing and that I know that maybe next spring she will have the memory of the adventure with the yellow flowers.
