Milan, that beautiful city again ... I won't be bored of writing blogs about it, its history and my impressions while I was walking these streets of fashion and history. You read well, fashion and history, an unusual combination, but it was there. When you step into the square in front of you is a gigantic cathedral, a historic miracle, and on the left, there is a work of art, the amazing Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. Maybe this name is already known to you, this is because there is a statue of him across the gallery. So let's look at this gallery, but also learn something about the history of this masterpiece.  The gallery was named after the same king who rides a horse, a few steps further, Victor Emanuel II, a symbol of Italian unity. It was opened in 1867. years, and the moment it was created, it was an architectural miracle. It was designed by Giuseppe Mengoni, the ambitious architect who wanted to create something that would connect the past and the future of Milan. And he succeeded but at the cost of personal tragedy. Mengoni passed immediately before opening when he fell from the scaffolding during the final works inspection. And day-to-day, this event is mentioned with special silence.   Milan's people often call it "Il Salotto di Milan", which means the living room of Milan. And for a reason. You don't just come here just to buy. You come, like most tourists, to admire, slowly, to look at people, guess you smell of espresso, skin and expensive perfumes mixed and evoke the entire event. By tradition, if you stop the fifth on his balls (yes, literally) and turn around three times, you will be lucky. No matter how many tourists, it works, and Milan's people do it, and with a smile, because it is part of their story. Of course, I made those three rounds too.   It is not only traded in the gallery. It trades in views, style, and ideas. It is the perfect combination of history and modernity. During the holidays, there is a huge Christmas tree. During the Milan Fashion Week, it becomes a fashion runway. The right architectural miracle that connected fashion and history. There are people gathering there to show their creations but also to collect ideas.
