Parálisis por análisis

ESPAÑOL Cuando las decisiones abruman... lo mejor es tomar alguna. Creemos que analizando todas las opciones al detalle, comparando y evaluando, encontraremos la "respuesta perfecta". Por suerte, esto no existe. Lo que sí existe son múltiples consecuencias, variadas, para cada decisión, dependiendo además del contexto donde se presenten. Con esto no quiero decir que un análisis previo no es necesario, estoy segura que de entrada hay mejores decisiones que otras. Pero con estas líneas me refiero a aquellas veces en las cuales estamos "paralizados" ante diferentes alternativas, igual de buenas, y tememos arriesgarnos. ¿Te ha pasado? ¿Cómo actúas en esos casos? Pienso que hay que soltar los ideales de perfección y sencillamente probar qué nos resulta mejor. Quizás esto nos ayude a tomar mejores decisiones en el futuro, a partir del ensayo y error. _____________ ENGLISH When decisions overwhelm us... the best thing to do is to make one. We believe that by analyzing all the options in detail, comparing and evaluating them, we will find the “perfect answer.” Fortunately, this does not exist. What does exist are multiple, varied consequences for each decision, depending also on the context in which they arise. I'm not saying that prior analysis isn't necessary; I'm sure that some decisions are better than others from the outset. But what I'm referring to here are those times when we are “paralyzed” by different alternatives, all equally good, and we are afraid to take risks. Has this ever happened to you? How do you act in such cases? I think we need to let go of ideals of perfection and simply try what works best for us. Perhaps this will help us make better decisions in the future, based on trial and error.
