Monomad Challenge

My father and his brothers had an affinity for some of the most exquisite automobiles of our era, with the Cadillac being a model proudly owned by each of the five brothers who collectively managed both a farm and a farm equipment business.

Among these cherished vehicles, one that particularly stood out belonged to my Uncle Nick. He, having become ill several years back and chosen to liquidate his assets before his demise, left behind a 1959 Cadillac in his estate, which I had the honour of selling.

This car was nearly fully restored, representing an exceptional piece of Cadillac's golden age, about 90% complete. The 1959 model was renowned for its imposing chrome grill and bumpers, along with its distinctive headlight and tail light designs.

These vehicles were notably large and inevitably turned heads on the road. I had the pleasure of riding in it several times, experiencing its smooth journey along the highways. It boasted a robust 390 cubic inch engine with 325 horsepower, making it a true powerhouse of its time. To this day, these models remain in high demand among collectors.
