from Hivefest X to beachcleanup

@solarwarrior · 2025-10-27 08:48 · HiveFest

The last remnants of hivefest X just arrived at the beautiful island of Koh Lipe, Thailand. The remaining crew @louis88 @rivalzzz and @solarwarrior not only enjoyed the fantastic scenery, Thai hospitality and cuisine but also quickly discovered that there is a beach cleanup initiative on that very island. Unfortunately those beach clean up members calling themselves @doitbyheart never have heard of the very hive before, so a big opportunity to hive-nize the small island and spread the word about @cleanplanet as well.

The three adventurers jumped a long boat joining six other enthusiasts and went to remote tiny island just a one hour ride away.

Approaching the island @solarwarrior was not sure we would be able to fill at least two bags, the scenery and nature were just too beautiful and the beach looked pretty untouched.

Man was I wrong.. we actually had to stop the collection after two hours because the carrying limit of the boat was in reach. We assume the total weight of see born waste collected at approximately 700 KG. So this is really some impact and could make quite some difference.

Back at Koh Lipe @rivalzzz and @louis88 onboarded @doitbyheart so there is a possibility of a new hive community in the Andaman See.

Please follow that account and upvote their important action because they really make a difference and have a huge impact on that remote place of the world.

And if you by chance you are able to visit the island of Koh Lipe make sure, that you visit the Cafe-Lipe not only to enjoy great drinks and fantastic food but also ask about @doitbyheart and join their weekly Monday beach cleanup.
