I have been seeing a mother deer and its offspring roaming around in the last few weeks. It was taking a drink of the edge of the water when I got out my camera and finally got a few pictures. It has been a hot July month, so they come down and drink probably a few times a day. Looks like the baby is growing up, and soon should lose its spots.

A closer view of them. I cropped the image a bit so we can see them a little better. But I really like the first picture as it really captures the environment around them.

I think the mother noticed me and went into the brush.

The baby quickly followed the mother.

And just like that they are gone, disappearing into the wood line.
