Seems like there is food to eat under the plants, maybe they are eating the tender leaves of young plants.. hard to say for sure. But they sure seem happy with whatever they are finding, they spend a good amount of time just going through the aquatic foliage.

Its a pretty big family that was hanging out.
Fun to watch them stick their heads in the water looking for stuff.
They move along taking a drink once in awhile from the looks of it as well.
Eventually they move to more of the middle of the pond.
After they leave we can see all the streaks from them moving through the water.
Normally it looks like this, undisturbed. So its easy to notice when something has crossed through the pads.
Looking like they are heading back for some more.
Hard to say for sure, its a geese's life. They seem to spend their way on and off the land, and everywhere in between.
