I have been seeing more turkey walking around as the summer starts to wind down. First it was just adults, but now I am seeing the poults as well. That is what the baby turkeys are called. I see three of them with this family. Good to see they are doing good, hopefully predators do not take them out before they can fully grow.

The babies are so small they are obscured by the grass quite a bit.
But if you look closely you can see them sticking out of the ground.
Eventually one of them walks into the wood line.
The other thinks about leaving but does not just yet.
Well now its just one turkey.
The next day I saw them again, this time in shorter grass.
They seem pretty comfortable where they are, but can quickly run into the woods when they want to for safety.
Now we can really see the babies!
They keep walking down the meadow along the tree line.. taking their babies for a walk.
Eventually they find some shade and just hang out there for awhile.
It was really cool seeing a family of turkey..
