I've been waiting for a long time such that I couldn't help but think it was a bluff. One of my all time artist, Sofia Camara had left me hanging in anticipation for the past four months. Well not just me but every other fan of hers. It felt like I'd been waiting for eternity but happily she kept to her word;
*Parking Lot would be released on the 1st of August*
And she freaking did. I've listened to it more times than I can count. Actually, it has been on repeat, with the lyrics carved in my mind, far better than I had expected.

Sofia literally poured out all her emotions in this song. I could feel her grief and the weight of the heart break she felt as the song was inspired by her personal experiences with love and the breakups that followed afterwards. Her songs speaks volumes on just how much bad shots she has had at love.
She was torn between being angry at her lover and letting him go. Because she doesn't want to let go.
*Was calling you things that I know you aren't*
*"You're a player*
*Manipulator*
*But the truth is*
*I don't wanna let you go*"
I mean who would want to let go of the one who made you feel like he or she was your forever, showering you with love in different languages??? Such that when breakup pops up, you have to make up reasons to delude yourself that such person wasn't good enough for you .
This song just goes ahead to strengthen my take on love; a bittersweet element of life... *It's never perfect*. The fact that every being has their preferences is already a proof of that. For love to exist, a whole lot is required. It goes hand in hand with trust, care, honesty, understanding, tolerance, respect, selflessness, communication and many more. The absence of these qualities, even one of it from either of the individuals involved already sabotages the relationship on ground. And as time goes on, one thing or the other no matter how irrelevant, leads to a separation. And when this happens, the only thing left is a shattered heart. But I still believe everyone has their better half who's gonna pick up the pieces of what's left.
I must say, Sofia really did justice to the lyrics. It turned out to be worth more than the wait and and her vocal......it's to die for. Alongside the epic crescendo and soft piano melodies. If you're a lover of love songs (well even if you aren't ๐
), you will surely enjoy listening to it.
