I believe everyone of us has been in situations when everything seems to be spinning out of control. Almost like the weight of the universe was dumped on your shoulders. Responsibilities tripling, problems enlarging and income, either pending or insufficient.
That moment when the world is revolving around us while we ourselves, are on standstill. The plans and goals, investments and efforts just stares right back at you, utterly spiralling downward.
We've all been there, at one point in time but when surrounded by loved ones, we can attest to the support, care, warmth and comfort they shower on us, through their actions or words.
All these years I've been making use of Airtel network but precisely two months ago, I switched to MTN. What I've heard and known about the network so far is how they never cease to gobble user's money through their expensive services, not like Airtel is any better.
Turns out there's more to the network or perhaps, they're trying to be.
Though I'm just finding out they've changed the slogan but this is surely sticking with me, lol.
So far, they have proven the rumours right. My 5gb data exhausted in four days which really shook me to my bone marrow. I can't just understand the arithmetic such that I thought of switching to their night sub, only if I'm an owl though.
However, few days ago on the first of September precisely, I made a phone call and the moment I ended the call, a message popped up from the network. I read and re-read the message as surprised as ever and when the words sank in, I could tell my expression morphed into a smile.
These words warmed my heart in ways I can't tell such that when I tapped the ok at the bottom, I clicked it with this resolve ignited in me. Yes I might not have a whole lot on my plate; bills to sort, rents to pay and the like but I do have challenges I'm facing and fears I'm fighting.
A word, short or long holds a lot of meanings and can either make or mar another. If it doesn't put a smile on the face or foods for thought then it's an ache in the heart. Afterall, the tongue is said to be the sharpest sword a human can ever possess.
But to anyone out there who thinks a weapon is only meant for destructive purposes, you're absolutely wrong cause it shields and defends.
So rather than bruising with words we hurl about, why not uplift that broken soul???
