I must say, if you're expecting an innovative idea or something of that sort, then you're in for a shocker.
I can be quite silly with my thoughts and I often try my best to keep it to myself but now that I'm given the opportunity to share what's on my mind, I will do so without looking back.
Every advantage equally has its disadvantages tagging along. However, it happens to be in human nature to turn a blind eye to the good side of things but never cease to slam the bad. The same thing similar to Nigeria.
All that is heard of her is, the rate of corruption, law violations, death and other ugly happenings, with all blames being apportioned to the authorities. Whereas, we the citizens contribute to the disaster through our ignorant decisions, actions and inactions.
Nobody talks about the natural resources, minerals and landmarks she has in her possession............... that's not what I'm here to talk about anyway.
Currently, Nigeria is in a very bad shape which is taking a toil on all. For a 65year old country, it won't be wrong to say that she's falling apart.
Now comes a meme I read on WhatsApp assuming that Nigeria is stripped off her right as a country and her landmass converted to a place of punishment for other nations of the world.
Something like; a judge convicts a murderer and sentences him to ten years in Nigeria.
The laughter that escaped my lips was uncontrollable and I actually found myself thinking about it. The meme didn't go further into any more details and I ended up letting my imagination run wild as I imagined such.
Thankfully, it's my own thoughts so I get to crop and edit the scenario as I deem fit.
The biggie nations of the world for some reason, come together and decides that Nigeria would no longer be acknowledged as a country.
Nigerian citizens are to however, relocate to any country they so wish and they will be wholeheartedly accepted as citizens, with guaranteed access to all privileges and facilities as well as regard for their human rights (there was no way I would allow Nigerians to be at the mercies of others, like the case before independence).
It's then declared that Nigeria's territory becomes a kinda prison where convicts are sent off to, with military bodies keeping watch. However, the category of one's crime determines the region he would be sent to serve his sentence.
While major crime offenders are to serve in rural parts, engaging in all forms of manual activities, minors would serve in urban areas.
Now please pretend you didn't just read all that, lol.
I'm still a patriot and I wouldn't want such a thing to actually happen. If not for anything, the efforts our nationalists made to gain independence shouldn't be in vain. I strongly believe that Nigeria still has something worth fighting for.
Happy independence day Ni-ge-ri-an-sssss🇳🇬!!!
