Hello everyone. Today, I want to take you on an online tour to a very interesting destination in Da Lat City, Vietnam. That is the "Tay Nguyen Paradise", which is like an outdoor exhibition next to the Huong River. Da Lat has won my heart with its pristine and healthy landscapes. The picturesque paintings of tea hills, waterfalls, pine forests, etc. have aroused my emotions and made me realize that nature is beautiful in a way that doesn't need human intervention.
Da Lat is known as a city with many ethnic communities in Vietnam. Therefore, this place is famous both inside and outside the country, not only for its dreamy misty city but also for the diverse cultural identities and traditions of the Vietnamese ethnic groups. That day was a morning when I was strolling along the streets next to the Huong River when I accidentally discovered this place.
When I arrived around 8 am, there were already many tourists visiting this place. The first impression when I set foot here was that I felt as if I was entering a village of some ethnic group. Because the houses, objects, plants are not like modern houses that I've seen before. Everything is arranged very naturally, making many people mistaken that there is a village with many people living here.
First of all, because it was still cool at that time, I visited the outside. The houses were entirely made of bamboo, wood, and leaves, making me feel amazed. They didn't look modern or certain like cement houses nowadays, but they once and still are the homes that many local people live on the high and wild mountain areas of Vietnam. The houses were made entirely from materials gathered in forests by people. The houses here have a different design than the houses we usually see, which is that they are built on high wood columns, away from the ground. This is so that the people living in the forest can avoid wildlife and natural disasters.
Outside, the meticulously carved statues on the tree trunks are also decorated a lot. The purpose of this is because the Tay Nguyen ethnic people in Vietnam have a custom of carving influential figures in culture, or stories and paintings they want to preserve for future generations.
Not only that, but the items used in daily life of the people are also displayed here, from the machines for weaving fabric, the vehicles used for transporting food, to the bags that the people wear when they go up the forest and fields. Vietnam is known as one of the countries with many famous musical instruments. However, surely many people have never heard of the "stone instruments". Since ancient times, their ancestors have carved small stones and fixed them on strings, then used sticks to strike them to create unique sounds.
I was almost completely immersed in the atmosphere here. Tay Nguyen Vietnam is a region famous for many festivals, so they also have many types of musical instruments, from stones, gongs, etc. These things are often hung in front of their houses, which bring them luck and show their respect for them
Foreign tourists love Vietnam's traditional linen fabric because they are made from flax fibers grown, harvested, dyed, hand-woven, and sewn into beautiful and unique costumes by local people. Here, I also had the chance to see many pieces of hand-woven linen fabrics with striking colors. They are dyed from the colors of flowers or leaves picked in the forest instead of being dyed with industrial colors as they are today. I had the opportunity to wear clothes made from this material, and it was really cool and comfortable. I think you should try it too when you visit this place.
The artifacts of the Tay Nguyen ethnic people in Tay Nguyen Paradise in Da Lat really impressed me. I have seen bronze gongs, crocheted paintings, and colorful traditional costumes of the ethnic people, each with its own story and meaning.
