One interesting fact that I would like to share with everyone is that there are 3 temples named Linh Ung. The Linh Ung temple I chose to visit today is the Linh Ung Son Tra Pagoda. This is the largest temple in terms of scale and artistic architecture.

1.jpg The name Linh Ung Son Tra Pagoda is given because this temple belongs to the "monk's complex" located on the back of Son Tra Peninsula. The other two temples are located on Ngu Hanh Son Mountains and Ba Na Hill. This is considered a famous spiritual tourist attraction with special historical and cultural values in Vietnam. 2.jpg

5.jpg Because it is separate from the city center, the space here is very peaceful which is suitable for sightseeing and worshiping of tourists combined with the magnificent natural scenery of Son Tra peninsula. Tourists can not only admire the special architecture of the temple but also enjoy the beautiful views of My Khe Beach and Da Nang Bay. 6.jpg

The most outstanding feature of this temple is the statue of Quan Am Buddha, the tallest statue in Vietnam with a height of 67m, and a lotus tower with a width of 35m. The statue is made of marble, facing the sea with its back to the mountain. With such a large size, tourists can see the statue from many places in the city, especially when walking along the Da Nang coastline. The statue’s core also has 21 Buddhist figures with different shapes.

12.jpg The main area of the temple is built in a combination of the modern style and traditional architecture of Vietnamese temples, with a curved tiled roof. The main columns are surrounded by finely-carved dragons. The dragon is an important symbol of architecture in Vietnamese temples as it is considered a sacred creature representing power and luck.

15.jpg Inside the main chamber, there are statues for visitors to worship. Around the temple grounds, there are many Buddha statues and plenty of green trees which make the space more serene. 16.jpg Images of traditional Vietnamese houses, ancient wells, and vendors' carts,...the utensils of the Vietnamese people from ancient times are also displayed throughout the temple's grounds. These images not only allowed me but also many other tourists to revisit our childhoods and see the simple, rustic images of Vietnamese countryside life. 17.jpg

20.jpg Here, there is also a souvenir shop for tourists who want to buy souvenirs or gifts. Visitors can easily spot many monkeys wandering around. However, people are advised not to feed them, as this will affect their survival or they can be transmitted with human diseases
