I have been going through some rather hectic weeks, and have been very busy with family emergencies. I suppose we all know what that is like: responsibilities, bills to pay, errands to run, and outings out of obligation and necessity. But we must also evaluate, as we deal with all these issues, our level of commitment, efficiency, and performance in this regard.
Are we efficient in fulfilling all our obligations?
These kinds of pressures and personal events I have mentioned have led me to the most obvious and essential question: Am I coping well in all aspects of my life?
Am I dealing well with problems, or do I just have a false impression that I am? Keeping an eye on basic aspects of our lives will tell us if this is the case. Aspects such as whether we are truly happy; whether we are fit, healthy, and have healthy personal relationships; but there are also other aspects such as whether we are able to solve or manage our time with real efficiency.
We may discover that we are not as efficient as we think we are, that we are not achieving as much as we should, and that we are even failing in essential aspects such as our job performance.
Optimizing our time
In this month that I have not been able to write for so many reasons I have discovered that I can do some optimization of my time, and that I must do it urgently, because I have not known how to organize myself in a way to write more consecutively in Hive. Making an assessment of this has led me to the obvious thought of how many more aspects of my life I will not have neglected and am currently neglecting.
I am not saying this to justify myself, nor to whip myself, but to demonstrate what happens when one knows how to organize one's time. If we do not know how to organize ourselves, time passes in a non-optimized way, and then many tasks and obligations will remain pending.
Time does not ask for permission, that is why they say it is a titan, because there is no way to control it, or stop it, the only and exclusive thing we can do is to manage ourselves in relation to time.
How to optimally manage our time?
That is what we must learn to discover, because it is the cornerstone to solve so many events in our lives and efficiently fulfill our responsibilities. Optimizing our time will help us to live better, in more harmony and without neglecting essential aspects of our being.
Optimizing time requires self-knowledge, skill and analytical observation. To manage writing more often, I am going to stipulate that I will write an article every day, or at the latest, every other day. I am going to force myself to fulfill this obligation against all odds. It remains to be seen, but I am sure that this will be like going to the gym to train. The first few times it will be hard, but as I get used to it, everything will become easier.
Achieving the task of optimizing our time will allow us to schedule, manage, and fulfill all our responsibilities, despite emergencies and unforeseen events, in a better and more organized way. Even so, one might think that this is a general objective, but that would be a mistake. We should not treat it as such, but rather as a specific problem.
The specific problem must be identified so that we can work on it and solve it. If we know about it and decide not to work on the problem for the time being, it will persist, although at least we will know where we are failing until we decide to solve it. But time is precious, and postponing its optimization can be counterproductive. Think about it.
