I've been reading other poets' posts on Hive for a long time, and I've never had the courage to write here, despite having my account for a long time.
This among other factors has finally led me to decide to come here and present my poetry. The lyrics that are the expression of my soul, and my heart. I am @soulpoetry. And I am a man and a reborn poet, from the ashes of disappointment, bitterness, and the pain of life. I write about love, about everyday life, and about everything. My poetry is a song, an ode and a praise to life, a tribute to what I love and a protest against what I dislike.
Nature, women, life, beauty, and sweetness are the main muses that inspire me to express the best of myself in my poetry. Frustration drives me to bring out the worst in me through my poetry. I am a classic and contemporary poet at the same time.
I'm a literature professor, and I'm a fan of jazz music. I like reading a good book, traveling, and eating delicious food. Although I'm a very busy man because of my job, my wife encouraged me to join Hive for a bit of distraction, and so here I am.

Am I a hedonist? I don't think so, but I do like the good things in life.
I'm a poet of the soul. And I know there are many poets here at Hive, and you'll find them if you just search a little, but each one has their own identity, their way of expressing themselves, and their experiences. Everything in life is poetry, even if we don't realize it, and that's the beauty of being a poet.
If you want to know me, if you want to know who I am, don't trust anything I just wrote in this introductory post. Instead, read my work, my poetry, and through it, you will know without a doubt everything I carry in my mind, in my soul, and most important, in my heart.
I, @soulpoetry, have arrived on Hive and I hope my work transcends my wildest aspirations. I hope to learn what it means to be a poet on this platform. Because I've always been a poet, but being a poet on the blockchain will be a new experience for someone like me.
And now I'll leave you with a short poem (five lines and three stanzas) to begin my journey on Hive:
Beginnings are difficult But starting is necessary If your soul is pure and tough You won't be intimidated by anything And the fruits will come without fail.
My commitment is to be myself My motivation is to express what I carry within The madness of my desires is the order of the day My fidelity to my passion is infinite and sincere I capture in the naked letter the poetry I feel.
The question is neither meticulous nor difficult to understand. It's the handwriting that shows who I am and what I do. It's the handwriting that shows what I feel and what I want. It's life that is married to my handwriting and my alert mind. Possibilities that unravel, and thanks to them, I write nonstop.
