HOLLOW by Bonnie Legion
I… I just want to fight I want to throw these words at you Break this curse on you Crawl on down to the bottom of the dark unknown
Who knows… Maybe there it will all be fine
I… I just want to climb I wanna move these stones away Reach this castaway Leave this island at the bottom of the dark unknown
Oh no… Maybe I just love the night
[Chorus] Whispered dreams, I say to you Are you hollow on the inside? Hollow on the inside I still pray… That something will make this right
I… I just want the light I want to hold it perfect Design, rebirth it Swallow it down Till it grows on the inside
Oh my… Maybe I can’t do this right
[Bridge – Spoken/Chanted Echo] Who goes there? Are you hungry? Are you evil? Are we mad, babe? Are we people? Are we lying… To ourselves?
Who goes there? Are you hungry? Evil… Mad, babe… People… Are we lying? Are we lying… To ourselves?
[Chorus – Echoed/Dreamlike] Whispered dreams, I say to you Are you hollow on the inside? Hollow on the inside I still pray… That something… Something will make this right
[Refrain – Repeated softly or powerfully depending on delivery] Whispered dreams… Hollow on the inside Hollow on the inside I still pray… That something will make this right
[Outro – Returning Verse] I… I just want to fight I want to throw these words at you Break this curse on you Crawl on down to the bottom of the dark unknown
Who knows… Maybe there it will all be fine
I… I just want to climb I want to move these stones away Reach this castaway Leave this island at the bottom of the dark unknown
Oh no… Maybe I just love the night
I… I just want the light I want to hold it perfect Design, rebirth it Swallow it down Till it grows on the inside
Oh my… Maybe I can’t do this right

“Hollow” is a ghost-laced prayer whispered from the bottom of the dark unknown—a place where rage, sorrow, and hope coil together like vines around a buried light.
This song is a raw unraveling of emotion. A stripped-down acoustic, layered in fragile echoes, it drifts through shadows of longing, defiance, and the ache for truth. It's about standing at the edge of your breaking point and throwing your words like spells—begging for a curse to lift, a heart to open, a night to turn.
The video follows a surreal dreamscape inspired by old scars and strange sculptures—each image a reflection of inner storms and broken things slowly being mended. It’s a strange little world with Tim Burton bones, but the soul is something entirely my own. Strange statues watch. The moon listens. A girl with rainbow hair breaks and repairs her guitar, again and again.
I made this piece in the hope that someone out there, lost in their own echo, might feel seen. Might remember they’re not the only one wrestling with the silence. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O-m6PVjPs8k
