Today was a different time, and luckily for me, I came online almost at the right time. A new habit I recently developed is to join the tournament a couple of hours before the main time. That way, Lichess sends me a notification when it is about to start.
I went all out with Berserk on all my games, and that worked for me. Since it was a 5+0 time control, it was comfortable to go all out with the berserk. With that, I won 73% of my games and a performance of 2034. I was 2nd in the player's standing down to 5 seconds to the end when a draw from the match against Tangible and Samostically brought Tangible to 2nd, pushing me down to 3rd place, and Samostically gained 4th place.
This was the last game for me in the tournament, and I needed a win in order to maintain a top 4 finish. The game comes from a Benko gone wrong into a Benoni, where I did not know what to play. Outrightly, I had to squeeze out a win in this game, so I went for an all-king attack. I moved most of my pieces to the kingside, and when I finally got the h-file break, it was boom time. Nothing is more interesting than when you finally get an attack in a game where you were once looking for any form of break.

There sure was some fluctuation in the elo bar in this game. At some point, white had the advantage, that is me, while black had the advantage, that is my Rosmarly my opponent. I did not know what I was thinking when I missed the free knight on d6 after black played Qf7. Instead, I went for something else, even worse. I have to admit it was not easy how I escaped this game with a win on time, because things took a good turn for my opponent in the endgame section of the game.
At some point, I could not accurately stop her passed pawns with my bishop due to the time pressure, and on her end, she kept the pressure coming on me. I think I cracked when the pawns were close to promoting. See the position below.
Here is where it changed for me in the game; I guess it might have been a lot earlier.

This was an impressive one for me. Until the next round. I hope I keep up with the performance.
