Hello chess players and lovers of the game,

Welcome back to my game blog, where I talk about games, my experience playing them, and everything game-related. In this round, I have to say it is my best. I won the tournament in grand style for the first time.

I had a total of 11 games, won 10, and drew one. Thanks to the draw in my last game against @stayoutoftherz that gave me the tournament win. Odnoobraz_bcm and I were on 37 points heading to the last few minutes of the tournament, but a draw from the previous game gave me a 2-point boost to grab the lead down to 19 seconds and the end, giving me the tournament win.

A 60% berserk rate as a result of my new strategy heading into this round. So, I decided today that I would berate any player rated lower than me, but I would not do the same to a player rated higher than me. This is the reason why I did not berserk players like @jaki01, Odnoobrazbcm, and Tangible. FCastrol17 was the only player who was lower rated that did not berserk. I made my move before I remembered to click the berserk button. Gladly, it was a good mistake; if not, I would have lost the game on time.

This is a game with Tangible, where things got pretty intense at this point, where I got a winning position, making it hard for him to defend the threats that are about to come after. Rook captures the knight, which makes the position a lot easier for me to play. I exposed the king with the rook for knight sacrifice, and what came next was a mating attack, and he had to give up his queen to avoid the checkmate threat.

This is my game against Odnoobraz_bcm, where I got the advantage of the penetration of my knight into the position through the squares c4 and e3. Do not underestimate the position of my knight because the outright check makes it difficult for the white king to move. If the white king goes to h3, it falls to Qd7+, Nc5+ next, and the queen will drop. The best option was to capture the e3 knight, giving up his rook on a1. This is how I gained an exchange, then later on went on to win the game.

These are the two games from the tournament that I found the most interesting. It is quite impressive, even the host @samostically gave me a salute on Lichess. Thanks, man. I appreciate these HiveChess tournaments. Looking forward to another one tomorrow. I wish the chess tournaments were a constant thing every weekend.

I am @southgamer. Try gaming and thank me later.
