Hey chess players and lovers of the game,
Welcome to my blog, where I talk about the games I play, my experience while playing them, and anything game-related.
Starting from tomorrow, my weekend will kick off with a Hivechess tournament. Starting with the Friday tournament from @stayoutoftherz and on Saturday from @sam.chess. So I thought it would not be a bad idea to play some bullet chess to prep against tomorrow's event.

Also, it is with great joy to announce that I finally crossed my rating target today. I got 2200 in bullet. Although it is left to do the same in Blitz, that might just be another tough rolling stone to overcome.

So I played a couple of games. I want to perform a lot better, hopefully, in the coming rounds.

This was the last game I played before writing this post. I had to bring it up because of how lucky you can get when you play fast when playing bullet games. In this position, I was already losing the game, but I buckled up on my speed when I noticed we were both in time scramble problems. Nicely, that was what helped me to get the win when my opponent got flagged. I guess my lesson here is I have to be faster when playing this weekend, since this Friday's Hivechess tournament is going to be 2+1 tomorrow.

This is one game where it was all drawn down to the endgame, but things got tricky for both sides, especially for me. We got to the point where there were passed pawns on the board, and I felt that if I just moved my king a square further to protect and secure the queening square for my pawn, it would give me a winning edge, or at least. All was simply bad.
Bxg4 grabbed a pawn, which is all it took to put me in a losing position. It is losing because of the passed pawn on c5 I have allowed white to create since I did not capture it. What I should have done first was bxc5, then go for the pawn on g4. This way, the draw is more secure, and black will be the one on the defensive.
I am sure it is going to be more exciting tomorrow, given that it is bullet chess. Expect a couple of blunders on the board because of the time control.
See you all there.
