It's lovely to have you once again on my blog, @southgamer, where I love to talk about my game experience, games I play, and anything game-related.
I could not post yesterday because I didn't play any game during my lunch break at work or even when I got home. Lately been feeling a bit of burnout due to work and honestly life in general.
Well enough with the emotional rollercoaster, today I got to play my Soccer Manager game during lunch break. A couple of weeks back I signed up for the test of the new Soccer Manager 26 game which is currently in beta testing and set to be released soon. Unfortunately, I haven't gotten the notification or link to download the SM 26 test version.
Anyway, I played the SM 25 today instead. As a football fan, you should know that the Premier League will be starting soon, I think by the end of this month if I'm not mistaken. So it only makes sense that I prep my virtual team in the game for the Premier League.
Before starting the league, I won the preseason competition cup, in the match against Lazio, thanks to Nicolas Jackson, who has been on fire by the way.
Guys, you need to see the way I rushed to offer him a new contract when he requested one. I increased his pay to $127,100 per week with a signing fee of $1.2M. Not bad if you ask me. I know this can only increase when the contract expires depending on how much he performs.
I do not know if it was because of his plans to request a new contract that brought out the beast in him in our League opening match against Crystal Palace, but guys, he was on fire. This one makes me more curious about what the real Nicolas Jackson will be bringing to the team this coming season.
Our match against Crystal Palace got us losing in the first half due to a goal from Nketiah, after a poor defensive cover from Curuella. Immediately I adjusted the left wing, subbing Curuella, moving Levi Colwill to that left wing, then bringing Fofana into that Colwill, to cover up the gap.
Jackson was the star of the show in the second half, scoring a hard trick in the second half. From 1 goal down to 2 goals up. That's how the fate of the team changed.
That's not all, he also performed tremendously in the next match against Brighton, giving us the 2 0 victory.
Now that the transfer window is closed, the season has fully begun. Let's see what these teams have to offer and how far of the board's expectations I can meet up. I have to finish in the top 4, qualify for the Champions League, and make at least 10% profit for the club.
