Hello friends, I hope you're having a lovely day. I'm so happy to return to the community this week, as usual, to share some of my most random photos and the stories behind them. The photos I'm sharing today were all taken at different times and in different places—it's one of those things I do a lot. This will be my entry for Phone Photography Contest - #73.
Hola amigos, espero que estén teniendo un muy lindo día. Qué alegría regresar esta semana a la comunidad, como ya es costumbre, para compartir un poco de mis fotos más random y sus historias detrás. Las fotos que les comparto hoy han sido tomadas en distintos momentos y distintos lugares, y es una de esas cosas que hago mucho. Esta será mi participación para Phone Photography Contest - #73.
I really enjoy taking photos of stray kittens, or kittens I see on house porches—it's something I've done for a long time. Many of these photos end up on Pixabay, others become part of my image albums, and I often go back to look at them. Today I want to share some of these photos with you, the first ones I found, back when mobile phones didn’t have great cameras.
Me gusta mucho tomar fotos de gatitos callejeros, o de gatitos que veo en los portales de las casas; es algo que hago desde hace mucho. Muchas de estas fotos las termino subiendo en Pixabay, otras forman parte de mis álbumes de imágenes, y a cada rato regreso para verlas. Hoy les quiero compartir algunas de estas fotos, las primeras que encontré, cuando los teléfonos móviles no tenían una gran cámara.
I really love cats of all kinds and colors, and I have four at home, so I can't adopt any more. But every time I see one on the street, I just can't resist capturing it in a photo.
Me gustan mucho los gatitos de todo tipo y de todo color, y en mi casa tengo cuatro, así que no puedo adoptar más. Pero cada vez que veo uno en la calle, no me puedo resistir a capturarlo en una fotografía.
The first photo of a kitten was taken very close to my house—the striped kitten was peacefully resting on top of a wall, as if the world belonged to him. The second kitten, white and chubby, was playing in front of a door on one of the streets of Old Havana—a very playful and affectionate little cat. The third kitten, black, was resting on the porch of an abandoned house near my workplace. I always saw him wandering around the area. I love black cats; I don’t believe at all that they bring bad luck. The fourth cat isn’t a stray, although he’s always out on the street—he belongs to some neighbors. I think he’s one of those kittens who just loves to explore.
La primera foto del gatito la tomé muy cerca de la casa: el gatito rayado descansaba tranquilo en la cima de un muro, como si el mundo le perteneciera. El segundo gatito, el blanco y regordete, estaba jugando frente a una puerta en una de las calles de La Habana Vieja, un gatito muy juguetón y muy cariñoso. El tercer gatito, el negro, se encontraba descansando en el portal de una casa abandonada muy cerca de mi lugar de trabajo. Siempre lo veía en los alrededores, paseando. Amo los gatos negros; no creo ni un poco que traigan mala suerte. El cuarto gato no es un gato callejero, aunque está siempre en la calle: pertenece a unos vecinos. Creo que es uno de esos gatitos que aman explorar.
