The story behind this photo is simple. Not long ago, Qurator, in one of its photography Quests, chose the word "Metal" as the theme. While trying to find something metallic, I had the idea to take one of my Lego Star Wars figurines and replace its weapon with a metal nail. I took many photos, but in the end I only used one where the figurine was raising both hands, holding the nail. Today, while browsing through my old photos, I saw the remaining ones, and my eyes immediately focused on the shadow cast beneath the Lego figure’s feet. I don’t know how I hadn’t seen it before. That’s when I decided to swap the photo I had planned for this round with this new one. I simply liked the photo a lot and felt it deserved to be shared. It was taken on a very sunny day, but I hadn’t thought about the shadows—it was quite an unexpected one.
La historia de esta foto es simple, no hace tanto Qurator, en sus Quest de fotografía, puso de tema la palabra Metal. Tratando de buscar algo de metal, tuve la idea de tomar una de mis figuritas de Lego de Star Wars y cambiar su arma por un clavo de metal. Tomé muchas fotos pero al final solo utilicé una de ellas donde la figurita alzaba las dos manos sujetando el clavo. Hoy, buscando en mis fotos viejas, vi las fotos restantes y de una vez mis ojos se fijaron en la sombra que se proyectaba bajo los pies de la figura Lego, no sé cómo no la había visto antes. Ahí se me ocurrió cambiar la foto que tenía planeada para este round por esta nueva, simplemente me gustó mucho la foto y creo que merecía compartirla. Fue tomada en un día con mucho sol pero no había pensado en las sombras, fue una sombra bastante inesperada.
