Tengo 40 años y soy originaria de Inglaterra, pero desde muy pequeña me mudaron a Venezuela, donde pasé gran parte de mi vida, así que soy una venezolana nacida en el Reino Unido, maracucha aunque nunca viví en Maracaibo pero eso se los cuento en otro post.
Soy madre de dos chicas maravillosas de 11 y 12 años, una edad súper genial ¿se noto el sarcasmo? La preadolencia ya empezó a sacarme canas. También soy licenciada en Administración de Empresas, y me he desempeñado como comerciante durante más de 20 años, primero con una floristería y luego con una tienda online. He tenido una vida tranquila, con sus aciertos y sus tropiezos pero con muchas alegrías.

Me encanta viajar, y conozco Venezuela de punta a punta, tuve el placer de vivir la época donde se podía recorrerla por carretera, desde la guajira hasta la gran sabana, desde la isla hasta la el tobogán de la selva en Amazonas. He fotografiado toda la geografía nacional y lo adoro. La fotografía es una pasión hereda de mi papá, a la cual cada vez le dedico más tiempo.
Hace poco, o quizás no, en octubre del 2021, mi padre falleció debido al COVID, una muerte inesperada que sacudió mi mundo, mi papá era mi guía y amigo, un gran maestro. Me tomo algunos meses asimilar su partida, aun no me acostumbro del todo. Pero aprendí algo “la vida es solo un ratito” así que hay que vivirla al máximo.
Y como la vida es corta y no se puede desperdiciar en un lugar que ya no vibra contigo, mi esposo y yo decidimos hacer un cambio importante en nuestras vidas y en la de nuestras hijas, emigrar a otro país. Dado que la familia de mi esposo es argentina, decidimos que ese sería nuestra nueva base. Y desde hace un par de meses acá estamos, en Rosario, una hermosa ciudad a orillas del rio Paraná.

Con este nuevo comienzo, estoy buscando hacer algunos cambios importantes en mi carrera profesional. Quiero trabajar remotamente, explorar el mundo de la escritura y la fotografía de una manera más profesional. Estoy dispuesta a aprender y a hacer todo lo posible para alcanzar mis objetivos, y como parte de ese aprendizaje es que supe de las Clases de Hive Desde Cero y escuchando a @soy-laloreto que entendí que en Hive puedo dar los primeros pasos en la web3.
Finalmente, aunque ha sido difícil para mí dejar atrás lo que había construido en Venezuela, allí aprendí que la capacidad de adaptación es clave para el éxito. Estoy emocionada por el futuro que nos espera aquí en Argentina, ya estoy ansiosa por recorrer sus carreteras, subir sus montañas, recorrer sus fronteras. Como familia, nos dejamos sorprender día a día por nuestra nueva ciudad y aprendemos sobre su cultura y la gente que la hacen única.

I love to travel, and I know Venezuela from end to end, I had the pleasure of living the time when you could travel by road, from the Guajira to the great savannah, from the island to the jungle slide in Amazonas. I have photographed the entire national geography and I love it. Photography is a passion inherited from my dad, to which I dedicate more and more time.
Recently, or maybe not, in October 2021, my father passed away due to COVID, an unexpected death that shook my world, my dad was my guide and friend, a great teacher. It took me a few months to assimilate his departure, I am still not used to it. But I learned something "life is just a little while" so you have to live it to the fullest.
And since life is short and you can't waste it in a place that no longer vibrates with you, my husband and I decided to make an important change in our lives and in the lives of our daughters, emigrate to another country. Since my husband's family is Argentinean, we decided that this would be our new base. And for the last couple of months we have been here, in Rosario, a beautiful city on the banks of the Parana River.

With this new beginning, I am looking to make some important changes in my professional career. I want to work remotely, explore the world of writing and photography in a more professional way. I'm willing to learn and do everything I can to reach my goals, and as part of that learning is that I learned about the Hive Desde Cero Classes and listening to @soy-laloreto that I understood that in Hive I can take the first steps in web3.
Finally, although it has been difficult for me to leave behind what I had built in Venezuela, there I learned that adaptability is key to success. I am excited about the future that awaits us here in Argentina, I am already anxious to travel its roads, climb its mountains, cross its borders. As a family, we let ourselves be surprised day by day by our new city and learn about its culture and the people that make it unique.
