Cumpleaños de Martina

Junio es el mes de los cumpleaños en mi familia, casi todo nacimos en este mes tanto en mi familia materna como paterna, iniciando el primero con el cumpleaños de mi tía Martina, quien es la única de la familia que siempre será la niña, por su condición especial: el síndrome de Down.

Ella no entiende de fechas, se entera de que es su cumpleaños por mi mamá y mi persona que la felicitamos y empieza a pedir que le regalen una torta, este año yo no tenía los recursos ni mi mamá, pero gracias a Dios una prima que vive en Chile, nos envió una remesa y se le pudo comprar un pastel pequeño pero suficiente para cantarle su cumpleaños.

Ella estaba muy contenta de ser la protagonista del día, incluso me pidió que le tomará una foto picando el pastel. La torta estaba linda y sabía a dulce, je, je, je. Fue algo sencillo entre nosotros mismos, mi abuela, mi mamá, mis hermanos, Duke, que es el familiar de cuatro patas, y yo.

Mi tía cumplió 55 años, ella ha sido una persona saludable, de igual forma cada cierto tiempo la llevo al odontólogo, ginecólogo, otorrino, ahorita la estoy llevando hacerse unas terapias porque le duelen las rodillas, está sufriendo de artrosis  🥲 y se está quedando sorda 😭 como le gusta la música y bailar, casi todos los días le pongo música.

Estuve haciendo diligencias para conseguirle un audífono, pero tienen que hacerle un examen en Caracas, la capital de Venezuela, y necesito recursos económicos para eso. En fin, mi tía es una parte fundamental de mi familia y la quiero mucho. 🥰

Celebrating my aunt's life

Martina's Birthday

June is the month of birthdays in my family, almost all of us were born in this month, both in my mother's and father's families. It all starts with my aunt Martina's birthday, who is the only one in the family who will always be the little girl, due to her special condition: Down syndrome.

She doesn't understand dates, she finds out it's her birthday from my mom and me when we congratulate her and she starts asking for a cake. This year, I didn't have the resources, and neither did my mom, but thankfully a cousin living in Chile sent us some money, and we were able to buy her a small but sufficient cake to sing her happy birthday.

She was very happy to be the star of the day, she even asked me to take a picture of her cutting the cake. The cake was beautiful and tasted sweet, hehehe. It was a simple celebration among ourselves, my grandmother, my mom, my siblings, Duke, who is the four-legged family member, and me.

My aunt turned 55 years old, she has been a healthy person. Periodically, I take her to the dentist, gynecologist, ENT doctor, and now I'm taking her for some therapy because her knees hurt. She is suffering from osteoarthritis 🥲 and is going deaf 😭. Since she loves music and dancing, I play her music almost every day.

I've been running errands to get her a hearing aid, but she needs to undergo a test in Caracas, the capital of Venezuela, and I need financial resources for that. Anyway, my aunt is a fundamental part of my family, and I love her very much. 🥰
