My Actifit Report Card and Sapien Loop Book Event: June 29 2025

Hi Everyone,

I’m back with another Actifit Report and Update. It has been around two weeks since my previous report. It has been tough going. I’ve struggled to focus. I feel my focus is back again. I managed to post three times since the previous report.

The biggest thing for me over the past two weeks was the book event, Belfast, Books, and Ballgowns, which I attended on Saturday. It’s the first book event I have participated in as an author. I was fortunate to be accepted. Somebody pulled out; this opened a spot that my sister pounced on to give me a chance. I was accepted because I had just published my second Sapien Loop book.

The event went well. The people I spoke to seemed very nice and were interested in the book. The second book garnered more interest than the first. The prequel elements sparked considerable interest. Using the frozen creatures to tell this part of the story is a unique approach that seemed appreciated.

My Content

Over the past three weeks I posted three times. They were my eighth anniversary post, Sapien Loop Quiz 6, and splitting the Political Spectrum.

It’s amazing that I’ve been on Hive for over eight years now. It’s still the best place for my content. It is a shame that Hive hasn’t gained more popularity or encouraged more investors. People are too hooked on the mainstream social media. I doubt that is going to change. X’s claim to free speech has hindered Hive’s growth. Despite the problems in growth, Hive has remained true to its original values.

The Sapien Loop quiz is back this month. I will be taking a break from this quiz for the next two months. Instead, I’m running the annual Economics Challenge Series. This will be held in July and August. It will consist of the usual seven challenges. It will not differ too much from previous years. If you’re interested, I recommend that you take a look at the previous year’s posts.

In the final post, I discuss the political spectrum and how it can be divided into social and economic aspects. A couple of years ago, I developed a three-axis political spectrum. These were individualism and collectivism, freedom and order, and nationalism and globalism. This was a great base, but different people and ideologies focus on different aspects of the spectrum. More focus is either placed on the economic aspects or the social aspects. Sometimes the focus can be contradictory. For example, generally, Western conservative ideologies are in favour of nationalism concerning the social aspects (e.g., protecting national culture). However, they are in favour of globalism concerning economic aspects (e.g., free trade and international trade). Dividing the spectrum into social and economic aspects should help provide additional clarity to political ideologies and political parties as well as our own political perspectives.

That wraps up this Actifit Report and Update. I wish everyone an awesome weekend and a great week ahead. I hope you all enjoy the nice summer weather.
