Leonora
You ran thought it, leaves brushed your knees
wherever we may be, you always follow the smell of trees
the wind roars but you don't run away
instead you pierce it with your face
chasing lingering smells, hidden from me
your eyes are filled with life and I live through thee

This poem spilled out of me from this image, made me think about the walks with my dog (my child, actually), we go every day to the park, she grounded me so much and i've always love nature but watching her enjoy her senses, mostly the smells, help me to enjoy more and better the life around me. She's only been at one forest and I wish I had the means to take her to so many more places. We recently learn that she probably has hip and elbow dysplasia, it's hard for me to pay for the therapy she needs and it weights on me, I don't want her to loose her mobility.
I'll leave you a pic of my child, look a those sweet eyes!
