Greetings,
in this post, we'll want to congratulate our top players in the previous season as well as give a short update about Splinter Royale: what we've been working on and what's coming next.
First Season Leaderboard Rewards
It has been a while since the last season concluded and we want to make sure the players are getting their well earned prices. Note: The current season does not have prices.
Until the season concluded, we had two different rating algorithms in place. The first that was implemented is a great algorithm for creating a realistic rating based on the players skill level (openskill). It had the downside however of capping at a certain point.
That's why we've added another algorithm mid-season, which was more inflationary and simpler.
Now, for generating the final leaderboard ranks, we've decided to create leaderboards for both algorithms and then combine those into a single leaderboard.
Rank | Player | Battles | Wins | Prize |
---|---|---|---|---|
#1 | @brooder | 1349 | 735 | 1000 SPS + 3 Rebellion Packs |
#2 | @bubke | 1044 | 520 | 500 SPS + 2 Rebellion Packs |
#3 | @splinteryop | 395 | 266 | 400 SPS + 1 Rebellion Pack |
#4 | @deus-x-machina | 866 | 474 | 300 SPS |
#5 | @salomfishbee | 1124 | 705 | 200 SPS |
#6 | @junokeo | 732 | 474 | 100 SPS |
#7 | @tsnaks | 484 | 282 | 100 SPS |
#8 | @sinabi | 534 | 293 | 100 SPS |
#9 | @reconnectnature | 387 | 194 | 100 SPS |
#10 | @khazrakh | 216 | 155 | 100 SPS |
There were of course many more players who played outside of this top 10. We're not going to ping you all here, but we really do appreciate everyones time and attention!
Short Update
While we haven't posted much since our proposal, the work and passion for the project has continuously increased. The first goal for Splinter Royale was it to use a game engine (Unity) to create a new game loop (auto chess) that uses Splinterlands assets (cards).
The last few months however, we worked on whats beyond that and clarified the connection points between Splinterlands and Splinter Royale. A lot of the tech is already in a good state and we are currently working on finalising it, as well as on our own creative assets and last but not least, on a revised Whitepaper.
The Whitepaper will include topics such as (some of the names might change):
- Heroes (Combining, Uncombining, Grading, Hero Powers)
- Arena
- Tokenomics (SPS, DEC, CREDITS, CRO, INF___, BD__)
- Note: SPS & DEC are the only crypto tokens.
- Rewards (Hero Reward Boost, Staked SPS & Delegation)
We are excited about all of these amazing topics. We are even working on features that will provide incentives for burning of DEC and DEC at PEG.
But we're especially excited about Heroes. Not only from a technical side due to features such as Combining, Uncombining and Grading. But also from a creative side, since they are hand-drawn (not AI generated) and based on the actual Splinterlands lore. Each Hero will have 1 or more element(s) (i.e. Fire, Water, Earth) and a Splinter (i.e. Gloridax Empire, Kingdom of Grimbardun, Gaeltland).
We're also trying our best to match the style and high standard the Splinterlands Creative Team has given to the Rebellion Cards. And since we're a very small team, creating the assets takes a while.
While the technical side to open packs is mostly finished, we need more time to create the cards. That's why we are also planning on a pre-sale for the Heroes (via packs) in the near future. Hopefully in around a month or so, but there will be a real announcement and more info before that, since the pre-sale will include a leaderboard and prizes.
So with this said, we hope you're as excited as us about the future.
PS: Here is some eye candy for you.
